1 check on Program and features if your display drivers are listed and uninstall. 2) go to Device manager, click on display adatpers, right click on your Radeon and choose uninstall. Then reboot and see if the black screen issue is solved, then re-install AMD VGA drivers. I'm not an Acer employee.
Thelaptop turns normally but the problem comes with the screen. Sometimes the screen will just work fine all day long, I will turn the computer on and of with no issues but other times the computer will turn on while the screen remains absolutely black. Other times it will go blanck and will start blinking.
ihaven't used my netbook for about two years and when i tried turning it on recently, it took me to the home screen then changed to a black screen with a horizontal white blinking light, it seems like its loading something. there are two ways of turning it off, by removing the power sourse and pressing the power key till it turns off, ive tried f12 and f2 when it starts

Tryto do power drain, 1. Shutdown the unit. 2. Unplug the cables connected to the unit. 3. At bottom of the unit there will be a small tiny pin hole with a battery symbol close to it. Getan HDMI cable from Home Depot or Lowes and connect to a TV with an HDMI port. Or connect an external VGA monitor to the VGA port. You may have to press the Fn + F5 or F6 keys simultaneously to toggle the external screens on and off. If you see a screen on the TV or VGA monitor, your video adapter is probably OK.
